The developer? Oh man, you should read up more on him. Check out his site - although that's not the primary point.
MicroTD is great in that it's simple and tiny. You can relieve stress easily. IT'S ALSO EASILY CUSTOMIZABLE IF YOU KNOW C PROGRMMING(!).
Note: Water and fire blocks are 2x2, I didn't know this at first until I saw the source code.
