I have found myself replaying some games I gave up on because of the new screen giving it a different vibe. overall even Moonlighter seems so much better looking on the bigger screen while playing portable same with MHRise. I can't say I regret my purchase as I had a launch switch *hackable* and now I can use it a emulator while my main switch is kick ass. Do you have any suggestions for retro consoles I should be aiming for? Or what's been your experience with the new OLED?

Oh damn, I'm envious. Can't really justifying buying a whole new Switch and mine is still running fine, but I sure wish it's the OLED model from the beginning.

OLED launch Switches are hackable anyway. They said some chinese people used a bootlegged SX OS modchip on the new OLEDs

>>796224 Yeah, the OLED version can me hacked using an identical exploit that worked on older Switch models but so far the software hasn't been ported over so you can't really run much. Besides, good luck getting hold of a mod chip. The official ones are out of stock and the creators are all in jail and the copies are incredibly rare.
OP is better off keeping his old Switch, at least for now.

>>d84260 Yeah at least where I am they are trying to get the old switch off the shelf's because the OLED is supposed to be the new model replacing all not a side by side sale

>>796260 Really? I have seen 3 different shops scalping the OLED model for over 600€ (the white one, funny enough the red blue is over 450€)
I'm sticking with the original, I own a PS Vita and I'm still trying to notice the real OLED advantages (apart from deep black which a regular Switch can achieve with low brightness level, at those levels they look the same in everything) Also I have notice my original's battery is lasting longer than I remember so I have no needs.

The OLED model is being sold at 520 USD where I live. Not worth a penny. Scalpers can go die.
