Hades

| So, I know it's not exactly a new game, but it was on sale two weeks ago so I finally got to play it, and holy shit. I have not fallen in love with a game this hard in a while.

I usually play vidya once or twice a week for just a couple hours at a time. I've already sunk 60-70 hours into this shit and just beat heat 19.

Y'all g/u/rls down to just use this thread to talk about it? What you think of the game? Which weapons and builds you like? The design? The art? The music?

| Oh, and do keep it relatively spoiler free for the g/u/rls who might not have played it.

| I haven't played it yet but it's only a matter of time because it seems awesome. I guess I should finish Transistor first though.

| Hell yeah, enjoy the game g/u/rl.

I'm already pretty much over the game. Unlocked almost everything and I think I've finally exhausted almost all the dialogue. Almost. Because sometimes I pop back and there's STILL some new dialogue I haven't seen. This game is crazy.

Heat 19 is pretty dang high! Congrats! What weapon did you use?

| >>795527
All Supergiant games are bangers! I need to finish Transistor myself. I hope you enjoy them both!

>>795541
Yeah! It's so cool! The fact that they made a roguelike with this much story and dialogue is crazy. And it's super well written as well!

>>795542
Thank you! This heat level took me a couple tries. It sadly broke my win streak. But, it felt good to do it!
I used the spear! The Achilles one. The zoomy one. It's a little brain off but it's fun to use.

| >>795545
lmao Achilles's spear is your brain off weapon? I have to be careful with that one or I'll run straight into my death.

Have you beaten the game btw? Wait no if you got to Heat 19 you obviously did (?). Have you got the epilogue though?

| >>795548
Well, idk. I just throw it at an enemy, use that fancy dash, and then stab a bunch. And then just do that over and over again.
What is/was your brain off weapon though?

No, I've got some main story stuff left. Obviously gotten the whole roll credits and stuff, but, I know there's more afterwards which I haven't really gotten started on. I'm assuming that's what you're referring to.

| >>795687
You know I haven't thought about it, but I guess it's Hera's Bow? It's what I'm comfiest with. If the bloodstone is upgraded high enough it one-shot kill most enemies.

Fist is pretty brain off comfy too, but I die pretty easily with it lol.

Yeah, you'll know what "the epilogue" is when you get it. It took me a long time though, there's just an absurd amount of sideplots in this game, it's great.

| >>795692
Ooh! I actually didn't think about that. Might have to try that myself.

Yeah, fist is weirdly difficult.

Mhm! There really is. That's why I'm currently putting most of my resources towards progressing the plot.

| honestly I'm in love with this game
my own playtime is relatively mild for now (38 hours) but if you count the time sank on twitch and youtube, oh boooy
even if i am a braindead who while loving it, sucks at videogames and after failing 50 attempts threw in the towel and enabled god mode to get anything done in the main story (the subplots were going relatively fine but i needed at least one win to get pact of punishment and contractor stuff unlocked to progress)

| really exited to see what's next and to hepl othef people in the underworld
nothing lije being zagreus, the most unconventional family therapist and relationship counselor in the underworld (tho still battling the insel tryhard inside of me saying that I'm just a filthy casual and there is nothing to be proud of)

| also i like the twin fists a lot, not sure if they are my favourite, but the aspect of talos (the magnetic cutter one) rocks, i like having a good close combat weapon with the ability to draw enemies close
and for bosses and long distance stuff there is always casts and dashes, need to collect good boons for them tho

| >>cf1ea7
No shame in going god mode. It's in there for a reason, you know?
If you're enjoying the game then, well, that's the point of it.

The magnetic fists do sound pretty cool. I'm really bad with fists but I've been considering doing some runs with them just because of that aspect.

And, yes. Zagreus is certainly the best unconventional family therapist. Such a good boy.

| >>795788 thank you for the encouragement! (and now that i think about it it's just damage reduction anyway, gonna imagine being a proper godling with above average durability like any other demigod protag in existence)

well they sure can suck for some people esp if they're not careful with them but ultimately fun
maybe 'cause they are speedy, same with the rail

Good boy. Best friend.

| >>796023
The Rail is actually pretty slow. You need some good timing to really make use of it.

And I say this as someone who mainly speedrun with the rail. I got 14 minutes in-game time with Eris's rail. Not much compared to world records, but I'm pretty proud of it!

| >>796023
Yeah, it's honestly a bit weird how a literal god can only take a few punches from an undead before dying in the default mode.

Yeah, I don't really know why, but they just haven't clicked for me yet.

<3

>>796038
Ay! That's honestly really impressive!
