I'm thinking about modding some drift joy-cons I have to be only portable, which means removing the battery, but I'm not sure if that is possible. This is for the purpose of making the Switch less heavy when in portable mode (as the joy-cons really add weight to the Switch, and when you are a little tired it gets unconfy unlike the Switch Lite) Afaik there are third party joy-cons that do exactly that, any one in Danger/u/ have tried them?
Is it a good idea or will it not work?

How can it be heavy? Ffs, do you also use bottle openers?

>>776118 when I'm playing on the bed I have to constantly change my position because as I said, the little heaviness the joy-cons adds makes it uncomfortable unlike any other portable console ever including Switch Lite.
Buying a Switch Lite for only this it's not profitable at all, but maybe making something like "Joy-Con Lite" would really help.

>>776197 Joy-Cons are light as feathers though, pretty sure the issue is in the non-Lite Switch tablet itself.

>>776500 Hi toxic 4channer, If I were fat I wouldn't have this problem as my hands would be bigger and grab the console easier.
I'm not saying it's heavy, It's uncomfortable, there is a difference, help or leave but don't insult those who are in that real hard situation.

>>776200 I would also say that, but I have also been in the same positions with my Galaxy Tab S6 (which is twice as heavier and larger than the Switch and Joy-cons attached) and it's not uncomfortable at all despite it's size. Also the Switch without Joy-cons in the same position is confy (a shame you can't really play anything with just touch screen). It's the combination that makes it uncomfy, not individually.

>>776708 Mmm. Might have something to do with the way your arms/hands are positioned when playing with Joy-Cons. In which case removing the batteries won't really help either.

>>776707 lol I was sympathetic until you called it "a real hard situation". This is like a grade A first world problem. Also joycons weigh like nothing, gurl I don't want to be mean, but I think these issues originate with rather than with the switch.
