The GPU I have has 130TDP. The previous one I had was only 20 lower, so 110W. I mainly idle, sometimes using the GPU to its full power, but I can't help, but to wonder what's up with the 130W one. My I did an experiment for 4 months. Two months with the 130TDP GPU and more two months with the 110W one and I came to a conclusion that the 130W one must consume that power all the time instead of only when needed. Is this a possibility, or am I going crazy?

I can't measure the TDP with Riva because it keeps showing on both 47W, no matter what I'll do.

Maybe. Some of old, old GPUs weren't really efficient, compared to modern day ones that draw the same amount of power.
