Screw the corpos, I want to throw more money at the little guys. Which games should I get?
My only criteria are that they balance story & gameplay and has well-made art & animation. So something along the lines of Katana Zero, Hyper Light Dirfter, Sayonara Wild Hearts, and literally anything Supergiant has made.
No visual novels, Va-11 Hall-A is the only exception.

Hollow Knight.
Seconding Battle Chef Brigade.
Paradise Killer. It does have a lot of talking ala visual novels, but its gameplay is mostly exploration.
Rain World, but only if you think you can gel with its tough gameplay and aesthetic.
Lair of the Clockwork God, unless you're allergic to point-and-click adventures.

Forgot to toss in Forgotten Anne. Short puzzle platformer, absolutely beautiful. Feels like a Ghibli movie
