It's fun! It hooked me right away with an unconventional female lead, a mysterious and overbearing atmosphere, and a nice gamefeel that hits a nice sweet spot between the deliberately clunkier aim and movement of the ResE remakes and the smooth run and snap to cover gunning of stuff like Mass Effect.

It's basically a SCP game without edgyness and with a real storyline and setting. It's extremely good but it crashes very frequently and the textures get pretty blurred sometimes (this isn't only on my PC).

It's awesome and full of Sam Lakeness. Flying around and breaking the 4th wall is pretty fun too.

Hell yeah, I love Control. The gunplay is fun but I love the weird architecture and deliberate lighting the most. Its Photo Mode is great too. I think I spent more time taking photographs than fighting

Are you playing on a basic PS4? If so, how's the performance? I ask because I don't have a PS4 Pro.

Be careful of the atrocious difficulty spikes. I have it on pc and it still has a half second input delay. But still fun.

>>738811 Yep! It can lag for a few seconds switching to and from menus and the loading takes around 30-45 seconds. I also noticed some of Trench's hotline calls cut out and show Jesse frozen wherever she is (remedied by un/pausing). But it runs pretty great and looks fantastic overall.

>>739161 Oh BELIEVE me
the "monster" by the HRA lab that can 2-shot you and turns invis made me rage but I learned how to best it.

>>739161 I spent a good part of my acid trip against that big flower thing until I started to come down and realized that he's an optional endgame boss.
I was dangerously underleveled but almost beat him a couple of times.

>>739161 Haha... I play with Assist Mode on and gave myself Invincibility after the first time I died. Fantastic decision.
I'm glad the developers gave use the option. I've never been able to play shooters on console and I play the game on Switch.

>>739285 I agree! Personally I suck at shooters and force myself to use the mechabics hoping it will make me better, but I HUGELY appreciate that games are allowing the story to be accesible to everyone. At the end of the day good devs will always have extra optional content for the hardcore gamers as well.
I have to take breaks whenever it feels too bleak but I absolutely love this game.
