What's the point of gacha if there is gameplay? I though the point was gambling and paying to pay better! Not playing to play better!

Uh... mmm... Genshin Impact?

Genshin Impact's gameplay is pretty good I think. You can play it as a button masher, but you can alao put more strats into it.
Fire Emblem Heroes has some easy Auto-able levels, but the mid-tier levels require some real thought. Also the deckbuilding-ish part is fun.

Well, I like my games to have good gameplay, too. But when it comes to gacha games and if you play it for a long time, you'll get tired of the gameplay eventually.
Especially when event is going on and you are meant to grind the same stage for a hundres times or more, without the auto battle, it will take a toll on your sanity.

You don't want a gacha.

Summoner's War is apparently pretty good for this in certain levels but you need to do a lot of auto grinding to get there.

The reason I like Genshin is the same reason I like Breath of the Wild. Just exploring around and fighting enemy camps and optimizing stuff over time. Gameplaywise it's fun and even tho it's repetitive, it doesn't really get borring for me even after 100+ hours.
I mean eventually it will, but for a free game? I think it's worth it.

Shadowverse, if you want a multiplayer card game. Came for what looked like Hearthstone with cute anime girls, stayed for the competition and strategy.

>>737390 Honestly, as far as CCGs go, it's not too bad for what it is. Or at least it WASN'T too bad, last time I played was before portalcraft was introduced.

Candy crush and farmville get expensive.
I recommend buying Va-11 Hall-A every time you win or lose.

It, doesn't sound like you're really looking for a gacha game, but like other g/u/rls mentioned, Genshin Impact is probably the best one to go for.
If you count CCGs as gacha though, then I will forever recommend Magic the Gathering. It's easily one of the best designed games ever in terms of gameplay. Though, sadly, MtG Arena is missing, like, about 20 years worth of cards, so you would hav to go with MtG Online which has a monthly fee and old UI or just good old cardboard.

I just started playing Genshin Impact Looking through the mechanics, how their gacha stystem works, the many different gameplay mechanics I have come to a conclusion You should play Genshin Impact. You can 100% the game with no money Everyone can, even if they're bad with spending the primogems. The game is a bit grindy without spending money, but it's not as bad as some offline jrpgs
Mihoyo for once made a game and added gacha mechanics, in that order, without cutting anything!

Is Puzzles and Dragons still alive? I used to play a clone of it called Tower of Saviors, and I found that fun for a while.

>>737223>>737072>>737049 Genshin Impact is like Cookie Clicker with an attack button.

>>739033>>739137>>739142 But this g/u/rl is kind of right. You spam attack button until your special attack is available, you ocasionally dodge (there is a point where is not worth the effort as you can tank it). In a cookie clicker you spam a button until other certain buttons are available. But I get that Genshin Impact is just as repetitive as Cookie Clicker. But that's any gacha for you, expect tasks not fun for you.

>>739147 Well... Huh. Now that I think about it, that's actually true for most of the main game. But as you get into higher WRs and especially higher Abyss floors you really have to start thinking about party composition, builds and strategy against specific enemies or other hazards. Execution gets harder as well, since you usually have to activate your abilities in specific timeframes and you HAVE to dodge consistently since you take a lot of damage & can't just spam food to heal

Kind of a shame that what I'm talking about is essentially absolute endgame that requires hundreds of hours of grinding and other chores before that. However, Genshin gets away with it thanks to great environment design with a map that's a joy to look at and just explore, great music and generally pretty well-written and interesting sidequests. The sidequests are even better than the main story IMO, although the latter has kinda picked up in the Liyue part a bit.

>>739147 That's just what video games are though. Like, what you say there applies to lots and lots of game. CS:GO is like cookie clicker, because you run around and click a button over and over until you get more money that let's you buy stuff that let's you click more buttons.
Mario is like cookie clicker. You click the same button over and over again until you maybe get a power-up that lets you click on another button as well for a while.
Games sound boring when boiled down.
