/v/ is pretty dead

| It isn't as a few months ago, literally at the start of the week there were so many active threads the first page was full.

Maybe we need better topics to talk about.

| Just a start a thread lmao. We have more lurkers than you can imagine.

| Have you seen tech?

| >>736873 yeah. If you wanna chat with some g/u/rls, start the conversation or reply to others.

| Now that the chinese govt is getting involved with releasing games and censoring games abroad, I've become less interested in the medium. Started playing classics instead

| >>737113 Unless you live on China or play games from that chinese company that is buying lot of videogame companies that won't be censored because they don't touch Chinese political aspects you won't really find censorship in modern games either.

Look at indie games and AAA games. No chinese was involved into them.

| >>737113
This is a weirdass excuse to ignore an entire medium, but okay.

| >>737153 I mean I'm way less enthused about the next GTA possible being owned by tencent. In other games not happy about words like hong kong and taiwan being censored in online chats. I don't like my hobby being a part of erasing identities

| >>737183
Still don't understand why your reaction is to ignore an entire medium

| >>737183 I mean if you played GTA you could understand how the head of Rockstar usually is... and it would be hipotrical for a game company that heavily enpowers USA's power be under China's shoes...

That a company can buy other companies doesn't mean those companies will agree, so stop being scared at this Epic Games chinese bootleg. This is like when people though Disney was going to buy Nintendo. Or when Microsoft tried to buy Nintendo and they laughed at their face.

| Tencent will top at some point like Epic, EA, Disney, Lego, Warner, Apple and Microsoft did. Is not the end of the world. It's just another company day.

| And again, if Tencent buys this or that... is 1% of the actual videogame market, like who the fuck gives a damn fuck when there is 99% other games releasing not censored by China.

| It starts out at 1% then grows, until most companies start self-censoring. Hollywood is already like this. Seeing Americans in movies using the QQ app is the dumbest shit I ever saw, and every time I see it I wonder what content was scrubbed

| Wake the fuck up, /v/
