Is it any good? From everything I've seen it seems like it's either amazing or way too empty, but I don't really wanna watch a let's play or anything because I don't want any spoilers.
So, if anyone here has played it or know a lot about it, could you give me a little spoiler free opinion? It would be much appreciated.

Well, I kinda caved in a bought it. I had a decent amount of funds on my Switch already. I'm still curious about people's opinions though if anyone else is playing it.

I kind of want to because I have been wanting a game like it for so long... But at the same time it feeling like Hollow Knight 3D (movement mecanics) doesn't appeal me as much...

>>736572 Hmm, well, I've played it for about 2.5 hours now, and that's not really how it feels. While I haven't played Hat in Time I've seen someone play the full game, and that's honestly what the movement in this reminds me of.
I don't know if I can judge the game quite yet though. I was in a really bad mood and had a headache while playing it, so, not the best mindset to be in for reviewing. It has some cool stuff though, but I'm not yet sure if I like the game or not.

Hmm, so, I played some more, and I'm starting to actually like it quite a bit.
In essence: It's like the older 3D Legend of Zelda games, with new Legend of Zelda type shrines that reward more health for completing what's essentially shrines. But the world design and some of the mechanics are also inspired a lot by Hollow Knight.
So if a fast Windwaker with platforming challenges and a Metroidvania-inspired overworld sounds like something you'd enjoy, then you should give it a go.

Quick summary of my experience so far:
I started the game, and the beginning reminded me of a combination of the start of Bloodborne in a BotW castle.
I played a bit further and it had some platforming challenges reminiscent of Hat in Time and Celeste, and the combat was like a faster paced Windwaker.
I got out of the first area and it started feeling similar to the exploration and wonder of Hollow Knight. Then I got to the first dungeon, and it felt like a lot of Zelda games.

When it comes to the way you improve your character and how the currency and stuff works it honestly felt just like Hollow Knights charms and currency.
So far the abilities have been a Smash Bros/BotW full body shield, a quick projectile and wall-running. The latter felt a little weird at first, but once you get used to it it's actually really fun.

It's... Alright, I guess. Really lacks polish though, and it has way too much backtracking.

>>737162 To be honest, I feel like polish isn't the main thing that's lacking. Enemies are. The mechanics and stuff aren't incredible but they work, but walking through completely empty areas isn't very fun.
One thing I like though is that it seems like it might have some good speedrun potential, which earns it a little extra points from me.

I don't like how zoomed out the camera is but I understand it is for the platforming

>>737393 Yeah, same. There are multiple reasons for why it is like that, but it's not, great.
