So seeing how CP 2077 has a rocky start for the old gen consoles who's at fault here?

CDPR, or the fans who were demanding the game to be developed soon? Also have there been bug reports for the PS5 an Xbox series x/s? Also I'm sure some PC players have seen a few bugs an glitches as well

It is CDPR's management fault. They had all the time in the world but gave unreasonable estimations in order to please their investors. You get what you fucking deserve.

CP 2077 is what would have happened to FFVII Remake if they released it on PS3 like it was originally going to be released.
People weren't asking for this game's release, CDPR kept delaying the game's original release more and more instead of not giving a fucking date to begin with. Just another AAA game that only lived and was destroyedbecause hype, but it will probably become the Skyrim of this decade. Half loved, half hated. Buggy as hell.

People just followed the hype that investors were putting out. Punch upwards at those assholes

Both. CDPR is at fault for making subpar game and people who followed the hype are at fault for following hype, same as every other hyped subpar AAA game. It's a vicious, cancerous cycle fueled by idiocy from every side. CDP isn't immune to the problems that are plaguing the industry as a whole just because they're polish, and I have no idea why anyone ever thought they were.

CDPR wasn't this corporate bollocks mere 5 years ago. That's why people believed. It clearly is now though. The budding Polish EA.

Its just hype cultures fault, cdpr made one bad decisions trying to play into hype culture realized that they needed way more time than they had to make a good game but still released a buggy game because they did want to make people mad with more delays but everyone still got mad because of the games buggyness
CDPR always was, they just happened to make a video game a lot of people enjoyed at the time. The "good guy" myth is just that, a myth.

CDPR management bent over backwards to kiss the boots of investors and get the coveted holiday release. publishers and investors are never interested in making good games it's always about the money

>>723946 Bang on
To be fair, the "crunch" turns out to have been playing on the developer's greed. They promised them bonuses in return for additional hours, if the game achieved and kept a Metacritic score above 90...
... only to decide to give everyone the bonus *anyway*, because of the fallout from the terrible release. There does not appear to have been coercion at all.

>>724098 wasn't the 'crunch' like an extra *day* every other weekend or something?

>>724186 >metacritic score Fuck I hate that kind of thing Not the score itself but rather the fact that devs are „promised” a bonus for reaching XYZ score
I’m glad the devs got the bonus in the end, and not used like some kind of condom.

>>723946 eh, I don't remember them being as shitty as EA. They didn't have DRM on their game, their DLCs were actually good/not a cut content, and they had no gambling on their games.
I guess they just went too big too fast that they ended up to be EA 2.0

>>724289 I was thinking more along the lines of No Man's Sky, expectation Vs. reality kind of thing. Not sure if they can pull off a redemption arc though. And this was surprising that a friend sent me. Sony decided to pull CP 2077 from their PSN store, followed by the refunds for people who downloaded the game. https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/378624114442764288/789449024184778782/gallery-share-1608289685704.jpg?width=759&height=427
Eh? They're still not anywhere as shitty as EA, not until they make a habit of voring successful companies and milking them dry, adding pay 2 win lootbox "surprise mechanics," reposting the same game each and every year with cosmetic changes and charging full price, and a whole host of other anti-consumer practices.
I was just pointing out that they're still a profit-oriented business like any other.

>>724186 Once again Crunch is not the devs fault and spinning it as "playing on their greed" and not that hard workers were clamoring in an EXTREMELY competitive work environment for additional pay is really cheap. I suggest checkibg out Jim Sterling on youtube as he explains in deoth, repeatedly, hiw coervmcivw businesses use this as a way of saying "no one is FORCING them" while engaging in fully manipulative practices that blackballs those who dont play along.

>>724231 It definitely was far more than that lmao
We need to not try and rehabilitate CDPR here. Call them on their shit. They have improved before, they can improve again, and their games will keep improving because of it. But letting them off as some lesser evil only allows them to keep regressing towards cash cow triple A models.
