Skyrim

| Just redownloaded it again. Probably gonna play it for a bit tomorrow. What are you g/u/rls honest feelings about this game though?

I feel like most people do genuinely like the game despite the countless flaws, but I also feel like there's a lot of hate against it. So, how do you feel about it?

| I adore it. It was my first proper open world game and I really enjoyed all the wandering and even the dungeon-crawling.

Lost its lustre a while back though. Can't bring myself to play it again. But I'll still remember it fondly.

Yep, pretty much this.

I've decided to revisit it not so long ago, and it just seems a bit too, eh.. shallow? I dunno, it's just way harder to ignore all of the game's flaws now. Don't think I'll play it anytime soon, I don't want to ruin my good memories of the game

I've felt like that since the first time I played it, but, idk. I still find it very enjoyable from time to time.

| I never did play through vanilla Skyrim. Always ended up modding a whole lot.

| I think its garbage without mods personally.

My first hour or so trying to play it vanilla ended with me getting stuck in a glitchy part of a bandit outpost that had poor collision detection, and there was no one around who could kill me. Not that it mattered anyway, since I hadn't saved up to this point.

Since that initial experience, I modded the shit out of it and didn't look back.

It autosaves all the time though, don't it? Or is that just the newer versions? Either way, that sounds like you didn't give it a fair shot, but I also understand why you didn't. To each their own.

| I started playing again today btw. I just started playing with a character I apparently had that I had only played to level 7 with and just started from there. It was nice. I was pretty busy so I didn't get to play for that long, but, idk. There's just something about Skyrim man. It's definitely not perfect, but it's such a chill vibe.

That is very true. I wish I had a proper computer so I could play all of it. The modding community seems very dedicated. I enjoy the base game though, so I won't complain.

| Game isn't for me, but I definitely understand the appeal in its sandbox and modding scene. If anything, I'm grateful it helped popularize open worlds in ways that my favorite games like Dragon's Dogma do their own take on it.
