I love this game series so much. The character development, the retro aesthetics, the unique lore, the streamlined combat, even how every single npc has unique dialogue everytime the story moves forward, so there's a hundred mini side stories to help immerse you and breathe life into the game. Like honestly, I don't think there's another game that puts such detail into npcs that 90% of players won't even bother interacting with. I'd like you to prove me wrong.

It was a surprisingly decent play. I kinda expected it to be shittier with some of the assets and the UI feeling kind of unfinished but the actual plot and characterisation was pretty solid, as was the battle system. The only things I'd change are to up the art quality a tick and overhaul the UI and menus.

Yeah, it's pretty good, but also really *really* REALLY slow, and I just couldn't handle it. The combat is also weirdly balanced where it's a snorefest most of the time, and then one random boss difficulty spike fucks you up completely.

>>714698 There's Zero no Kiseki and Ao no Kiseki. Haven't tried it yet, but graphics looked like an improvement overall.
>>714735 Agreed tbh, which is why I play on hard, and even then comes the problem where Earth Wall spam becomes the only strategy to survive boss fights.
