Minecraft Bedrock on other systems than Windows 10?

| Is that even possible to happen? I kinda hate how Java is becoming more unoptimized with each update. Optifine seems to do its work but it's only a matter of years till the vanilla version will require something even better from Optifine (I think at least.)

I do really wonder if there are any ways to play Bedrock on older Windows, Mac or Linux systems. I think not but maybe some people are doing something about it?

| I know that Java might have advantages over Bedrock since mods and servers are easy to maintain there but I just play singleplayer so.. Just answer my question and let's decide about this thread's fate.

| All versisons of bedrock are the same

| >>710227 what do you mean by that? The thread's subject is completely different from what you've said.

| Besides other versions of Bedrock are console/phone ones. On computer there's only Windows 10 version.

| Unless there are some people who are maybe porting it to other systems... Which I doubt but I just wanna ask.

| >>710230 bruh, have your ever heard of cross play? Bedrock is the windows 10 version wich can be played in consoles, pc and mobile, the only one that isnt the same is the old gen consoles version and java edition

| Java version was never optimized to begin with.
>>710230 there are unnoficcial launchers for Linux/Ubuntu and Mac, there should be a workaround for older Windows versions some people on Google recommend Virtual Machines (Virtual Box should work the best) Emulating Android is also a posibility but controls are not native for mouse.

| >>710231 You are not understanding OP's question, he is asking if there is a way to play Bedrock on a System that has no official Bedrock port, like MAC and Linux.
he is even aknownledging what you just said. >>710229

| >>710234 oooooooooh then no there isnt as far as I know, sorry. :<

| Mac & Linux: https://mcpelauncher.readthedocs.io/en/latest/getting_started.html I think this should work.
About older versions of Windows can't find anything but Virtual Machines

| Bedrock is a somewhat different game with a somewhat different mechanics. Playing a somewhat different game just for the sake of optimization is pretty bold. I would recommend trying Lithium, Sodium, and Phosphor optimization mods first or try playing with papermc on localhost first but you do you my dude. Just know that optifine isn't the only performance mod nowadays.

| >>710415 the game is essentially the same. Neither Bedrock is Java 2 or Java is Bedrock 2. There is parity in everything but bugs an some few mechanics not much people know is a thing on Java or Bedrock. Building, farming, fighting, crafting, villagers, dimensions and meaning of playing are all the same.

About optimization, as I have stated in some post of MC before, Bedrock let's you natively render 40 chunks with no issue, while Java suffers on 15 chunks, mods or not.

| >>710471 but things like "in bedrock item frames are blocks but they are entities in Java", some shift commands not available in Bedrock, no character creation in Java, tridents being really easy to find in Bedrock, "this farm doesn't work because this is a bug and they fixed it here" or "redstone in bedrock is bad because it works as programmed" doesn't stop you from building your house, beating the Ender dragon or create your adventure map.

| >>710472 hold up. Item frames are blocks??

Aight, forget Java. Imma play on bedrock right away.
