No idea. They did mention cutting down the cast of characters to focus on more story telling, though, as if the original game wasn't already lore heavy.
I'm hoping for it to be a full b2p stand alone title like Bakery Girl.

I like both XCOM and GFL and I would play the shit out of GFL with XCOM gameplay.
