I've been hearing a few people saying that for PC they've been hit with viruses. And I saw clip where a guy spent about 2k in real life money on one character. I understand you need to be responsible with money, but holy fuck

Not sure about the former, but the latter is just normal everyday hazard of gacha games.

Oh and the game is free and fun just don't put money into it cuz it's not really worth it for the reasons above

As a person who played Honkai Impact 3rd, Genshin is pretty much just that but in a crossplayform openworld fantasy setting.
The abyss, the gacha, the combat system all just remind me of Honkai. (And I fucking hated it)
I'll give credit where its due : celshading is beautiful, the music is superb. However, everything from this first release is just "basic" for a lack of better term.
It's not for me, but it'd definitely be rated highly for those who love it

>>703452 this, they even censor words like Hong Kong, Taiwan and Tibet in chat.

>>703943 I hated Honkai, but I love Genshin. Only similarity imo is attack/dodge basic. >>703961 They don't have a choice. They work from Shanghai and everywhere that's not Hong Kong has to comply with tons of rules to even be allowed to exist by the authoritarian regime. Personally, I never planned on discussing these things in a game's chat as probably most of you. I only wish it wouldn't asterisk half the other English words for no good reason.

Because of the censorship I won't play it. Don't care about Chinese law for a game released INTERNATIONALLY.

>>704177 The best thing is to think all the incomes this game will produce will be a weapon towards these China problems.
You are supporting anti China freedom through capitalism, what a paradox.

Not meant you meant in general those who play it. Sorry for the confusion.

I personally love this game so far. Mostly because of the open world exploration. I would argue that the whole locking characters behind a gambling system is bad... but you don't *need* anyone beside the character they give you. And the game is not unplayable just because you get low tier characters... which is not likely to happen considering all of the free pulls you get from the start. And the exploration is so fun! I recomend it :0
