| So considering the PS5 is coming out soon i've been thinking.Should i buy a switch for the collection of games which i personally am a fan of(eg smt,monster hunter,no more heroes,etc) or the ps5 for the possible prospect of it having a lot of games coming to it(like perhaps dmc5 special edition)?

| Ehhh, I went for the Switch and honestly I couldn't be happier. Breath of the Wild, Fire Emblem Three Houses, Astral Chain, shit's great. Got some multiplatform titles like Trials of Mana and Octopath Traveler, too, and I prefer playing those in bed or on the go. As well as tons of indies that are great in portable and I wouldn't touch otherwise. Especially with the aforementioned SMTV, Monster Hunter Rise and No More Heroes 3 coming up. And Bravely Default 2 is coming out soon.

| I won't risk putting money on an entirely new console yet, if I were you. Switch already have a solid base, an incredible library of games with even more games coming, and it's also portable.

The PS5 is only good if you have to chase the latest AAA games, I feel.

| PS5 for AAA games of 10 hours and never play them ever again (now you can't even sell them because they won't work on someone else's PS5) and the real good games will be available in any other platform. If you already have a PS4 stick with it until prices are lower (Ps5 pro will happen) or PC.
About Switch If you can wait a few months there are big rumours about a Switch Pro, current Switch is good but some devs don't care about performance, hopefully it would be better.

| IMO Switch is the way to go. There's already a healthy selection of games and you're not spending as much on the console alone.

I'm gonna disclose my bias here and mention I tend to play indies more on my Switch than the exclusives. So I tend to build up my collection with digital games pretty easily.

And switch is portable plus Nintendo games

Also Online will be 10-20$ per month, a year is 120-240$. In two years you will spend lot of more money on a PS5 than on anything else worth the same or lower and yet have limited use and games to play.
Of course, the games are what makes the PS5 worth the console, it's not the console what makes them worth, unlike any other platform right now.
