I remember how deep I was in Danganronpa hell last 2015-2016. SDR2 stuck on me for an awful while too.
Anyway, thoughts on the series? For me, I did enjoy it as a whole. They're all enjoyable in their own ways (although I've yet to play UDR). I dislike majority of the survivors in every game though. And V3's ending sucks ass. I literally frowned until the very end.

The series has always kept me entertained by being stylishly goofy. So tbh the ending of V3 felt like the natural direction for it to escalate. That might sound like a hot take to some people who took DR seriously. But it's my own way of appreciating the franchise.

Stylishly goofy is a good way to describe it.
I went into DR1 expecting silly anime shenanigans, so I was surprised to see myself genuinely caring for these kids. DR2 was good too. DR3 works well for what it is, though I'm not a fan of how it ends.
Could never got into DRV3, though. I guess I got burned out and the game just. Take. Too. Long. Getting. Anywhere.

V3 ending discussion So basically V3 ending says Fictional characters are people too, don't torment them. But if we go along that line fiction loses it's point. When noone suffers it doesn't make for a good story

I was pretty deep back then too. I remember enjoying DR1 so much that I played DR2 completely in Japanese. V3 was fun.
