I thought it was just a meme
> "No one asks for nether update" > "They don't care about cave update"
No but for real, I believed in the meme because cave update seems out of the world for me. The new spacious caves are gonna break a lot of casual mob farm designs for starters.
I do like the idea of flying inside caves, but isn't the surface only 60~ blocks tall? Are they gonna take up the inside of an entire mountain?
Axolotls are great tho, nothing but happiness about them.

Stained glasses were a meme until they happened, Dogs update is a meme, wireless redstone was a meme until it was no longer needt, not this. I hope they are increasing world's height and there is more profundity (lower bedrock) but I also hope old generation is preserved. Overall all this announcements made me think about Terraria, in all aspects, and I don't know how to feel because they are not topping Terraria features.

Feels empty with no new ores (copper seems useless and it being used to show how old is your world doesn't make sense if it gets old in 20 minutes wtf) and the new hostile mob it's original but no way that's scaring me, so exploitable, doesn't remind me of my first Beta 1.8 Enderman with Zombie noises. Love and hate the axolots, they remind me of my favourite Pokemon, but It's like it doesn't fit in Minecraft, at least not before sharks (which will never happen as stated long ago)

>>e9ad66 Funny that I thought of Terraria too, especially with amethysts and copper.
I'm actually happy to be conservative about ores, because I don't want Terraria situation where new ores just make old ones obsolete. I like copper having their own thing (weathering and lightning protection) as opposed to having more useless tools (gold). Does seem that recent updates are catered to builders than survival players.
What was the situation with wireless redstone? I'm intrigued.

Release date is June 2021, right?
>>702448 I think some of the new caves only happen inside the new xboxheug mountains.
