Month late, I know, but I recently defeated the new Paper Mario and wanted to talk about it. I'd love to see other's opinions as well.
I have only played the N64 version, Super, and Sticker Star, so I'm not coming in from a TTYD bias.

The main combat was fun but definitely not for everybody, but I didn't get very bored of it and the coins were used up frequently enough on items in the stores to the point where I was far from overloaded with cash. The boss battles were incredible though. Every boss fight was fun and unique and honestly was a huge highlight of the game. The bosses had character and each was entertaining. It was exciting to enter a boss and see what was there to offer

The music is fucking fantastic, I think I like it more than Super if I am honest. Event Battle and the Yellow Streamer Boss are some of my favorite tracks and they made the game even more fun. They also made some gimmick you need to do have the incentive of giving you the music tracks by completing it in each streamer area, so that never got too annoying.

The world was very vibrant and beautiful and the game was hilarious in dialogue, with quite a few innuendoes as well. Each Toad you meet looks kinda generic, but their one-liners make it actually fun and welcoming to hunt down Toads instead of annoying as hell.

Honestly, I enjoyed it a hell lot more than I expected. The game isn't perfect and the story could have been a bit better but I had a blast, and... I'm sorry, but I liked it more than the N64 version. Super is still better in my opinion, but it's not even close to being a sequel to Sticker Star. It's a fresh and wonderful game and I recommend it. Now to just try TTYD and see what the hype is about...
How does everybody else feel about the game?

Nah it's okay op. It's good to hear some positive opinions for once.
Never played a Paper Mario game before because it never looks like my kind of thing, but I'm glad to hear people enjoying it.

Gud, but definetly a reflexion of the disconnectio that nintendo has with second party and their fans The game is fine but has some flaws that really hit it for some people like the lack of meaningfull battles and poor chacter design, its nice for what it is(a bit too casual) but for what it represents for the franchise is terrible

I will give 2 reveiws Game for what it is: the story in fun, the writing is surprissingly good, but the character design is the lame, its all toads(the origami is fine) or realistic objects, and thats because nintendo limits how much they use stablished parts of the franchise As for the combat is almost useless, is fun but really repetitive and there is no exp aka progression, and thats the devs fault as the director WANTED to make it that way so its "unique" Overall I give a 7

As for what it represents: its a culmination of ignorance and lack of trust if their franchises of nintendo with second party games and it is a huuuuge disconect from intelligent systems with paper mario fans, thus giving it flaws that are "artificial" since it the only thing limint the game is the ignorance of the companies involved in the game taking horrid decisions in combat, mechanics, characters and the will of the fans Its a representation of how out of touch they are So5.5
