Of course. Its clearly a marketing move. They have zero chance in hell of winning.

They're huge! Backed by one of China's largest company! They can afford to shoot themselves in the foot.

Let's gonna say that epic is extreme masochist what want commit suicide, and Tencent is Doctor who is 24/7 with him xd

On the other hand they managed to make valve do something with steam, so maybe they have a chance to poke Apple somehow as well? I am not saying they will win. Maybe simply move to android and Cydia.... But there are some other companies with them, so it is gonna be at least interesting "holywar"

Would be interesting if they moved to Cydia
In all seriousness, Apple has been really shit lately with approving stuff but epic actually broke the guidelines unlike other apps, there's a fairly slim chance anything happening besides epig putting it back on the store a year from now

Epic is honestly really fucking awful, in doing this all Unreal Engine devs are unable to program with Macs and cannot have iOS or MacOS as a playable platform. Does not help that Unity is pretty shitty on its own thanks to them bloating it with unfinished and buggy features... fuck Epic.

Competition is good. Monopoly is bad. Anything that strikes monopolists' foothold is good, as it forces them to adapt rather than exploit its dominance.
So honestly fuck fortnite, fuck epic, but this lawsuit seems like a good thing for the market.

I'm all for it, honestly. Does it seem pretty retarded of them to do it? Sure. Does it affect a lot more people than just the employee's at Epic? Sure. But they do have the resources to do it, and fuck monopoly. Even if it doesn't go anywhere, well, I'm all for it. I mean, shit. I'm a Mac user. I basically didn't have any games to play already, and it's gonna be even less now, but they can do whatever the fuck they want, and if change does come from this, then fuck yeah!
