What fighting game seems more appealing rn for u g/u/rls?
| Hmm. I mean, it all just comes down to personal preference. For me it would be Ultimate (despite the trash online) and maybe Rivals of Aether, but platform fighters don't seem to be your preferred type.
Tekken is solid though.

Ah, okay. Well, fair enough. I forgot to mention Melee though, so I'm glad you did. But, well, those 3 are the only fighters I have interest in. Tekken is really fun to watch though and my homies who play it seem to love it.

| I'm playing Tekken 7, it's still being updated. We're currently in season 3 of the updates and DLC. Season 4 was just announced for this Fall/Autumn!
I'm new to Tekken, but learning how to play is really rewarding for me.
| Wait, why stop with Skullgirls? Just becauae EVO ended doesn't mean the community dies. It's surprisingly active if you know where to go.
Honestly, the only 2D fighting game I like is Skullgirls. I just love how good it feels to play it, and how cool it just looks when you know what you're doing.
There is also Them Fightin' Herds. Don't let the "pony" look deceive you. The game is legit and it's super fun. With a cool story mode as well!

Yeah, Them Fightin' Herds is surprisingly really really fun. IIRC it uses Skullgirls's engine, so that explains a lot.
Other than that UNICLR and GBFVS are probably the most interesting fighting games to me.

| Skullgirls is my fav but if you're looking for something diff Id say Them's, UNICLR, Guilty Gear, or GBFVS. I own SCVI for the exact same reason you're interesred & I love playing as 2B even though SC is like my least knowledgeable game. Also just gonna mention Blade Strangers since this is an FG thread and I'd be quite happy if just one person tried it after reading this. Not the deepest game, but great characters and they're all v. unique!

| I wanna get into learning another fighting game after my grind for Skullgirls saw an abrupt end with the EVO getting canceled, but I don't know if it's worth getting into Tekken since it's a 5 year old game, I also kind of want to try SCVI bc I loved NieR Automata and the 2B DLC really appeals to me (apart from the meme cc) also thinking about the new GG but not sure because of the changes from Xrd, but yeah, mostly that; any recommendations is welcome
