Would the game be worth investing time in? I've played Tekken in the past but I mostly stuck with 2D fighters.
But then while visiting my cousin I tried out his copy of T7. This time by playing in training mode as Josie. It felt good learning how to do combos as her. I still had a bit of trouble with strafing and block.
Would it be worth my time? What can I expect out of the game's content and the experience of reaching the skill ceiling?

Well Tekken 7 was awesome before the last season. Sadly I don't play it since then BUT Tekken 7 is to me the best fighthing game released after USFIV. And I can't wait for the next Tekken game.
About your question: Tekken rewards legacy skill a lot and learning any Tekken game will definetly help you for the next game. Considering it's 3000 daily players, for someone who didn't play T7 yet I would say it is definetly worth the time.

treasure battle is addicting. that alone makes the game worth buying imo

>>679859 some questionable balance changes happened. They reverted the changes after a month or so I think but still I had enough of the game anyway (around 400 hours of play time)
