For real though. I bought it and there's no regret. It's really not a bad purchase. I scrolled through after buying and found games I've seen before and considered buying, I found games that I've seen the entirety of but would love to play for myself, I've found games that I've never seen but look pretty interesting.
All for $5, and that money is basically just a donation to a cause I've wanted to support.

With DRM free you can legally back up all the games you own.
Steam is convenient, sure. I use it often myself. But if I can get the same game DRM free for the same price I always take that option and I recommend everyone else to do the same.

They have deleted some games from Steam before? Some of them you can still download if you bought them before their removal(but they don't get patched anymore) while other games are gone from your library forever.
It's rare that they do it and they probably have a good reason for it(like Rape Simulator). But it doesn't mean that your games are completely safe at steam. If supporting a bunch of old games ends up costing more than it generates then they they may remove them

You can still stream GOG games and use gamepads/VR for the ones that support it. You can even opt in your DRM-free game to Steam and use said functions there while still retaining ownership of the product you bought.

The Reaper's Almanac is a game where you act out your character by writing letters to other players.
The Cyborgs & Cigarettes is a cyberpunk RPG set in an alternate prohibition-era USA.
Working For the Corp is a cyberpunk print and play Descended From the Queen game. You will play characters who work at a megacorp called "The Corp" who are tasked with defending sensitive information from runners.

what's not to like, even if I end up a bit dissatisfied with some of them, there are more than 700 projects, some are bound to be fun, if short-ish

| Fyi: The bundle has about 1000 items now. They added a search bar for the download page so it'll be easier to just search and add the ones you want. Thank God, because navigating the pages is getting ridiculous.

You just have to buy it and then you get the page. The games are all yours, but if you want to download them or get them to the launcher you have to go to that page and download from there.
| >>668336 ah, did a bit more reading. I think, so long as you buy the bundle, all games are added to your library, just hidden. In order to unhide them, you need to navigate to the page. So to clear up any confusion, once you buy them, all 1100+ games are yours forever. You just need to go to the page sent to you in your email to access any given game for the first time. Itch.io also said they're working on an "unhide all" button, which is nice.
