Said time traveling monkey is also Jack the Ripper. Which is why the game turns into digital snuff.

>>653653 real talk, I saw leaks. They made the violence look too convincing. As someone who sees blood and gore in other games and movies, it made me uncomfortable. And I heard animators were forced to watch videos of real deaths as a reference.

You know what, I think the idea of main characters get defeted in the end is interesting if it is build up right as you play the game.
The problem is that people are spoiled of the end result without being able to see the build up/reason behind that scene. Yeah, the spoiler really screwed the game. They shouldn't have delayed the release. At this point, buggy EA release is better than your plot twist getting spoiled.
It's not helping that they add roided up trans as the culprit.

>>653681 >At this point, buggy EA release is better than your plot twist getting spoiled.
No way. Only morons looks up spoilers for games anyway but an unfinished game is bad for everyone.
I don't know any of the spoilers for example and the ones in this thread are obvious lies.

>>653668>>653678 if you don't believe me, go look up the leaks of the beatings and killings yourself.

>>653793 And they confirm your statement about forcing the animators to watch gore videos too?
Don't bullshit a bullshitter.

>>653748 I didn't look for it, nor was I a big follower of the game. I just open twitter and it's there. There will be gurls that don't have twitter and know the spoilers from danger/u/, discord, or other forums.
I agree that unfinished game is bad, but it can he patched/fixed later, even animation model like sanic movie can be fixed, but story? Nope. Plus, if a lot of people don't like your story BEFORE giving you money, you don't get that money.
Post number #653825, ID: 775c81

Without the spoilers, they will get the rage + money. Which doesn't really matter to them.
Post number #653826, ID: 775c81

Also, I don't think the spoilers are fake. It's not just text spoilers, there are gameplay videos and some cutscenes.
If you don't want to be spoiled, then just google "last of us 2 leaker not naughty dog employee". If it is fake, then they'll be like "lol that's fake news". They instead defended themselves from the accusation that they treat their employees so bad that they leakes the game.

who cares about this shit game

>>653826 This is so dumb. "They're defending themselves so it must be true" is fucking moronic.
>>653822 The Sonic movie wasn't fixed after release though... It was delayed just like Last of us 2 wtf.
Also if people doesn't like the story before they buy the game releasing it as early access isn't gonna make them like the story more... This is just so dumb.
Post number #653920, ID: 0f3195

>>653879 "hurr duur that's dumb, hurr durr that's moronic" without any counter arguments, nice.
Go read it again, they could have said that the leak is fake and they also could have said that leaker is not one of them, both are defending themselves and I have no problem with that. The problem is they only said the later one, they managed to go and identify the leaker but can't be bothered to say that the leak is fake? They could have just be silent and say nothing
Post number #653922, ID: 0f3195

>>653879 alright, you are right about sanic, that was a bad example from my part.
No, not early access, release it with bugs. If they release it before the leak, people would buy and play it just normally. They might dislike the story, but they can't refund anymore after they beat the game. Reviewers also most likely won't spoil the game/ending.
Post number #653933, ID: 72c27c
|
>>653920 "Water is dry" doesn't need a counter-argument since it's such an untrue statement that it becomes dumb. "They're defending themselves" is not a statement of guilt and is equally dumb.
>>653922 If they release a (to quote you) "buggy EA release" they're gonna lose more customers than the leak did and for a longer time. We don't even know in what state the game is and if it's fully playable.
If the game is buggy enough you can get refunds in most Western countries too.

>>653933 This is what happens when you are too busy insulting others instead of properly forming an argument.
I said that defending themselves doesn't prove that the fake is real, but the fact that they choose to defend themselves by revealing the leaker, instead of saying that the leak is fake is the one proving that the leak is real. Or you know, they can do both.
Post number #653956, ID: 0f3195

Heck, the producer made a video about it and say something like "no matter what your seen/heard/read, nothing compares playing this game from beginning to end."
When he can just say "it's fake lol"
I really can't see anything dumb about making a conclusion from evidence provided.

Let's say that a rumor about you cheating on your GF. The first logical respond would be denying it, clarifying the false rumor that is going on. But, instead of saying that it is not true, you go and tell your GF that the one spreading the rumor is x gurl.
It's not about defending, it is about the decision on what to defend.
Post number #653959, ID: 0f3195

>>653933 they still get the money from angry customer, though.
Release before leak: Get money from angry customer + bad rep
Release after leak: Get no money from angry ex customer + bad rep
They are going to get a bad rep from this no matter what happens, might as well take the money. Gamers are easy to forget/forgive, just look at EA.

>>653955 I never disclaimed wether the validity of the leak was real or not. I was disclaiming YOUR statements to be fake. Especially your statement about forcing animators to watch gore to be made up bullshit and your response was basically "they defended themselves so it's true".
Also I'm not insulting you. Im calling your argument fucking dumb because it is.
Post number #653963, ID: 93ab00

>>653959 As said in the post you replied to that we don't know in what state the game is and releasing a game that's too broken will cost you money because people can refund.
Also these angry people are a minority so it's obviously better to wait and finish the game and have the suckers who read leaks ruin their experience if they want to. Most people aren't spoiled and will want to play the finished game.

>>653963 well, Iirc there's a vid about the employee saying that the game is done and ready to be released, and they avoid so because of covid, if it is true, then the game wouldn't be that buggy of they release it on the original date. I'll try to link it in here if I can find it.
>loud minority >most people aren't spoiled Eh, that is a claim that can't be proven now, but I'm not you, so I won't call it dumb.

Delayed due to covid; mostly printing and logistical issue. So they could have just do a digital release and it won't be buggy EA release + nothing leaked.

>>653967 How well does a game like this sell? 3 million copies? 4?
I can assure you that it's a very small minority of these people who are taking their anger to the Internet. If 3 million people were angry at the same time it would've been a way bigger shitstorm than it is.
Most potential buyers aren't spoiled by these spoilers or else we would've know about it by now. It's relatively calm and you don't see anything about if unless you go looking/follow game journalists.
