| You know what, I think the idea of main characters get defeted in the end is interesting if it is build up right as you play the game.
The problem is that people are spoiled of the end result without being able to see the build up/reason behind that scene. Yeah, the spoiler really screwed the game. They shouldn't have delayed the release. At this point, buggy EA release is better than your plot twist getting spoiled.
It's not helping that they add roided up trans as the culprit.

I agree that unfinished game is bad, but it can he patched/fixed later, even animation model like sanic movie can be fixed, but story? Nope. Plus, if a lot of people don't like your story BEFORE giving you money, you don't get that money.

If you don't want to be spoiled, then just google "last of us 2 leaker not naughty dog employee". If it is fake, then they'll be like "lol that's fake news". They instead defended themselves from the accusation that they treat their employees so bad that they leakes the game.

Go read it again, they could have said that the leak is fake and they also could have said that leaker is not one of them, both are defending themselves and I have no problem with that. The problem is they only said the later one, they managed to go and identify the leaker but can't be bothered to say that the leak is fake? They could have just be silent and say nothing

No, not early access, release it with bugs. If they release it before the leak, people would buy and play it just normally. They might dislike the story, but they can't refund anymore after they beat the game. Reviewers also most likely won't spoil the game/ending.

If the game is buggy enough you can get refunds in most Western countries too.

I said that defending themselves doesn't prove that the fake is real, but the fact that they choose to defend themselves by revealing the leaker, instead of saying that the leak is fake is the one proving that the leak is real. Or you know, they can do both.

As said in the post you replied to that we don't know in what state the game is and releasing a game that's too broken will cost you money because people can refund.
Also these angry people are a minority so it's obviously better to wait and finish the game and have the suckers who read leaks ruin their experience if they want to. Most people aren't spoiled and will want to play the finished game.

Delayed due to covid; mostly printing and logistical issue. So they could have just do a digital release and it won't be buggy EA release + nothing leaked.

I can assure you that it's a very small minority of these people who are taking their anger to the Internet. If 3 million people were angry at the same time it would've been a way bigger shitstorm than it is.
Most potential buyers aren't spoiled by these spoilers or else we would've know about it by now. It's relatively calm and you don't see anything about if unless you go looking/follow game journalists.
