2064: Read Only Memories

| Is it worth it? It's three bucks on the Switch and supposedly is in the same universe as VA11-HALLA but I've also heard it's kinda shitty from some people here.

| ROM shares the cyberpunk tropes with Va11-HallA but it's more of a point n click adventure with a first person self insert. If that sounds alright with you, then by all means check it out. But IMO I prefer Va11 over ROM for the sprite art and bartending quirk.

| The story's not that good, but it's worth of a shot if you like aesthetic. Three bucks is really cheap for it, so just get it imo.

| It's worth way more than 3 bucks.
And it's a nice game.

| ROM is like the PG-13 to Snatcher's R.

The voice acting is there and the mini games are there, but the situation you are in lacks the "sense of danger" that Snatcher gives.

Don't want to spoil either by being more specific, but if you compare the first 10 minutes or so of each, you should understand what I mean.

If you really want to know the adventures of Lexi, TOMCAT and Furball Mac Sterile in Neo SF, go ahead.

You could also play YIIK and feel pity for the Jill of that game.

| I really liked 2064 and the tie-ins it had with va11halla - still feels cyberpunky, but neo sanfrancisco doesn't have the same vibe as glitch city. it's still super neat though - the voice acting is nice, at least.

| 2064 is markedly worse than Va11 in pretty much every category imo. At three bucks though you may as well play it.

| Should I just go and watch the game on YouTube instead of playing it then?

| For that price, get the game, for sure.

It's just three dollars. Just buy it and support the creators.
