Of course it is that's the formula. Release on or two new games in the series then remake them all and sell em at Max price then in a couple of years rinse and repeat.

Cool. I bet people will expect re2 from it and we'll be pissed when they get re3 again. I'm still gonna enjoy it. Hopefully they'll bundle it with some more cool live fast die young unattended multiplayer gimmick games.

Eventually, Resident Evil 6 will get a remake as well. Yet, Capcom won't make a new Darkstalkers game

>>644389 I'm remembering Umbrella Corps. an Operation Raccoon City... I thought ORC was going to be good, but the gameplay an reviews stopped me from purchasing it

It doesn't need a remake. But I'll play it and hate myself for spending the 60 dollars. Whatever. I'm a collector at this point.

I absolutely love RE4. It's probably one of my favourite games of all time. I'm really worried about a remake though. The controls in the original is one of the biggest reasons it's so intense, and the reason the combat is genuinely interesting and strategic. I don't see the game being nearly as good with modern controls. I don't really mind better graphics, but, I don't think I'll enjoy it as much with modern controls and combat. I hope it's still decent though.

Well seeing how RE2 and 3 are; there's a chance it may look good

>>644757 RE2-3 are very different games though. Like, they were originally top-downish, so making them third-person over tghe shoulder makes sense. RE4 already is that though, and also played a big part in revolutionising third-person shooters, and it has already gotten graphical upgrades and tons of ports. I don't really feel like it's a game that needs this treatment. Like, RE1, Zero or Code Veronica would make a lot more sense.

Can we get a remake of the RE 1 remake?

Give me The Mercenaries in the remake and we're gucci. I used to spend more time chasing high scores as Hunk and Wesker than playing the campaign itself.

>>644930 They couldn't even bring back the Mercenaries in RE3Make and that game is barely 7 fucking hours long. Capcom got too euphoric off the success of Monhun World, DMC5 and RE2make and have returned to their lazy fucking ways of churning out stinky turds.

All these Resident Evil remakes... RE:Zero alone has been released on 8 different platforms lol.
