Op of the other thread believes there are no good romance games and that dating sims are trash. Well let's prove her wrong g/u/rls!
I'll go first: Mystic Messenger! It's about getting close to one of four boys + one girl through real-time chatting and phone calls. The premise makes it feel silly but the story is surprisingly thoughtful and emotional.

Boyfriend to death 1 and 2 (if you are a sick fuck enough and don't mind subpar graphics) Cinderella Phenomenon is awesome, espesially since the MC has actual personality and character development The short novels by NomnomNami are very cute, hella romantic, like cavities-tier Crimson Gray and it's sequel are a wonderful instances of a romance between two mentaly ill people and gives a good examle of a couple that can try to be happier and healthier together(or not, choices man)

Dream daddy is cool if you don't mind the memes and it also has a lot to say about families and such, good romance too mostly Ever17 is sci-fi first but the romance is nice too, espesially how we get to see the initial development and the characters' dynamics as a whole (sora route still makes me sad) Saya no uta is a definite horror-romance mustread, magnificent piece of work

>>631180 Wouldn't call it a romance game but yeah, it's low-key hella romantic. Red and sword bf are perfect

>>631260 I listed it as romance mostly because most of the time we spend with them being hella perfect for each other even if Red is mute Understanding their relationship and understanding who Red is as a person helps a lot in the end, which most people tend to get disappointed by

>>631143 sweet then my picks would be reine des fleurs because the choices in romance characters look great so far <3 10/10 would sell my kidney again to buy this game. Hell I would sell another if I could date one of those animu boys in RL.
Bl games, I really like Omerta: Chinmoku no Okite, Togainu no Chi, Lamento, and Sleepover is super cute too!

No one mentioned To The Moon yet? I mean, it is mostly mystery, but the pillar of the story is romance.

For a game that focus on romance or relationship between player and heroine, i must say ciel nosurge tho its in japanese, and for a game that featured great romance system its persona 5.
I rarely play western romance/dating sim game but imo those 2 are the best romance/dating sim game in their respective romance type

>>631327 That's a good one. It's extremely emotional for an RPG Maker game.
