Renting games again. Any recommendations?

| I renewed my Gamefly and started renting again. At the moment I'm playing Resident Evil 2 (remake) and waiting for The Blind Prince & the Liar Princess to arrive.

I'm interested in games for both gameplay and story. They can be cheesy fun or serious with nuanced drama. No time sinks because I have enough of those. My favorites that fit this include Metal Gear Solid 3, Devil May Cry 5, and The Last of Us.

Looking for games ob PS4, 3DS, and Switch

| If you enjoyed DMC, I highly recommend Bayonetta 1 and 2. DOOM is absolutely amazing, but most of the lore there you have to read in menus. If you don't mind that, then definitely pick it up.

Resident Evil 4 is probably my most recommended for you. It's got tight, solid gameplay. A story, that while extremely cheesy is really good. It's got amazing atmosphere, and it's just one of the best games ever made.

Ah. You have good taste. Well, I'm not sure I have a lot to recommend you then. BotW is probably considered time sink. Longer RPGs probably are as well.

Shovel Knight is one of my personal favourites. It's easily the best platformer I have ever played, and the story is really fun. The game has multiple campaigns from different perspectives. The first one you of course play as Shovel Knight, but in the other ones you play as the villians of the first one. Really good game.

| You've probably played that as well though.

| >>575094 >>575096 Yeah as you guessed, I played Shovel Knight as well. Loved both the level design and the written dialogue.

Should be worth mentioning I don't play platformers as much. I'm not skilled with them, but a well designed platformer will always excite me. :)

Shovel Knight is the reason I started playing platformers, but it's still the best one in my opinion.

You played Wolfenstein II? Not quite DOOM, but it's really fucking good.

Bioshock Infinite is really good.

Shit. I think that's most of my good non-RPG non-procedurally generated games.

Deus Ex?

| >>575238 I haven't played any Wolfenstein games, let alone the recent ones. I hear good things about them, especially the story. So I'm interested!

Already played the others including Deus Ex. Or at least just Human Revolution and Mankind Divided. I know there were a couple more before that.

Ah! You should play it then! I haven't played the ones that come before II, but they have an ok story synopsis in the beginning and it's just really good. I think some of the character deaths will have more impact if you play the previous ones first, but it's still really good without it.

I don't know anything about the Deus Ex games before those two.

You two should check out the first Dude Sex this instant. It's obviously janky as fuck since it's pretty old, but otherwise it's nothing short of amazing.
