So the trilogy was really a great experience for me, and I'd just like to pretend that andromeda didn't exist, but are there any similar games, or ones that come close in any way?

>>544161 don't think so. You can come up with a lot of games similar to mass effect in one way or another, but the original trilogy has the unique mixture of good qualities. It's not flawless, but it is awesome

ME2 was probably the best game, but I liked the gameplay of ME3 the most. I liked spamming my psi powers with my little dinky sidearm on standby. Shame about the story, though.

I've been enjoying ME1 so far but i really dislike that the harder combat difficulties are locked so i had to magically unlock them using the developer console

I have enjoyed both me2 and me3 stories. No other game has the same atmosphere. You have to save the world, but there's nothing good or excitement about it, you just have no choice, you have to try, though you will likely die trying
And the Citadel dlc - it's a jem!

I loved the first two games. I didn't much like third and haven't played andromeda.

>>65b7e0 You should definitely try the third, it finishes the story quite nicely in my opinion, but just don't even get started on andromeda

>>544541 Didn't much like means I finished it. First game was unique, second game felt different once again (many changes) and the third felt more like the add-on to 2nd to me? I'm not sure. Also it made me play online component and that did feel grindy and immersion breaking I guess. My acquaintance with the series started with 2009 E3. This trailer felt so awesome I had chills running down my back. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUsbXc9RXmk

Man, I wish bioware got revived, confronted the collectors and fought for the lost. Or at least went out guns blazing. What they are doing with it now is too cruel. Making them gradually fade into nothingness.

>>544681 you could easily get galactic readiness up without every playing online tho
