My first recommendations are: FateSpinner Crosscode

Fairune collection

>>534322 Crosscode is fucking amazing. I guess it's obligatory of me to mention Johnny's Adventure. It's free unlike Crosscode, but can't compete with it in any way, and isn't trying to either.

Cross code is so good, but it's a bit too...idunno, dense? For me, at least.
Momodora Reverie Under the Moon is amazing, and so is Iconoclasts, too.

>>534399 Not sure what you mean by dens, but I agree that Iconoclasts is really good.

>>534422 What I mean is that for me there's too much stuff in CrossCode happening all at once, with all the sidequests and gathering loot and random chests and etc. The levels are so packed with this multi-layer thing they've got going on that gets really confusing, especially since it's often hard to properly judge the height of the layer in top-down pixel view.

>>534426 Ah. Well, I can kind of get that. Personally I see that as a good thing though, the fact that you can revisit areas multiple times and still have new, fun, things to do.

>>534440 the only thing I don't like about the game is that you cannot farm credits and forage for trade goods at the same time due to the shortness of the combo meter between encounters.

>>534442 I can't remember so specific stuff about the game. I think last time I played it was two years ago.

Also before this tread turns into a Crosscode tread, lets discuss TimeSpinner, Please >OP K3vl4r

Or other games of the nature mentioned above

Sry. Could you tell me something about TimeSpinner? I've never heard of it.

>>534480 It's reminiscent of the Castlevania SOTN and the aria\dawn of sorrow games, great art style, controls are nice and time travel is implemented in the gameplay somewhat. If you liked the metroidvania castlevanias you would like this game!

>>a22213 also I agree about Iconoclasts if you do not go into the game expecting a metroidvania, as it is more linear that other games in that category, but still a exelent game on it's own merit

>>534485 I love me some good metroidvanias. I'll check it out, thanks.

I love that art style! Everything that's basically just old video game art but improved makes me orgasm. There's just something sexy about it, even though I don't have any nostalgia for it.

>>534501 INR, it brings its own aesthetic and animation tricks to the board while using new tech and tricks to make it look really good.

>>534504 That a game?
Post number #534511, ID: 10deb7

>>534508 Not a particular game, but good pixelart in general.

Terraria is a game I would recommend here. Even better with friends as well.

>>534523 OP here I agree that terraria is a great game, as long as you reject the stigma that its 2d mIneCRafT and know what you're doing before making an expert world

>>534523 Terraria is a pretty good game, for the first 100 hours at least. However, it doesn't really have all that much in terms of good pixel art.
Captcha: more dana slugs. Uhhh. Okay.

I agree on the pixel art part, but if you beat the game in 100 hours, you clearly did not play on expert

The Count Lucanor is a good horror 8-bit, with 16-bit dialogue scenes. Best to get the PC copy, as the console copies are known to have issues, though.
Post number #534920, ID: 2e11ec

>>534747 Yeah, on expert I'd be done with the game in 10 or less. And by "done with" I don't mean I'd beat it.

Hyper Light Drifter is definitely the most beautiful game I've played, and the gameplay is good too.

Touhou Luna Nights, which references Castlevania SoTN.

Infinite Mana. It's a throwback to JRPGs and I can't recommend it enough. It's in early access though still but what I played so far was pretty cool. It's on my radar because the dev added one of my ideas, so I may be a little biased!

>>535365 Devs doing that kind of shit is always awesome, so the bias is justified.
