Sunless Sea tips for noobs like me

| So I got the game a while back but I'm so bad at making progress that that I could use some tips from all you g/u/rls out there, thanks.

| It's a very cool but also very slow game. Like watching radioactive decay. Have patience.

Use Manual Save. Take risks. The "you will die often" blurb is bullshit. Decent progress takes a while to make.

Everytime you leave London, chart a plan. Visit as many ports as possible before you have to return to refuel.

Always turn in your port reports, that's the best way to earn money early on. Take note which port gives the most money and prioritize them.

| Always prioritize safety, proceed carefully and methodically, often returning to the docks and refueling. Is what I remember.

Very exciting when you survive into the end game, but it's unlikely to be on your first try. Never forget what killed the cat.

Still have an endgame safe I'm afraid to touch cause I haven't played it in ages.

| Any tips for combat or just other tips to advance faster? I know it's a slow game but it feels like I'm just a step away to going much faster.

Combat is slow and kinda annoying. Donn't chase after combat unless you have high iron (say, from choosong the war veteran past) or have a strong weapon (Memento Mori was easy enough to for me to obtain) AND a high HP ship.

Heck, I have all three and it's still often too much trouble for me.

The Clay Man equipment can make your ship go slightly faster and reduce supply, in case you didn't know.

| How would I go about aquiring The Clay Man?

| That's not what it'a called tbh, I forgot. Pretty sure you can buy it at Polythreme. >>534150
