opinions on the f.e.a.r series?
| first game is great. really good ai and the vending machines look cool.
| Just finished replaying the first one earlier today, fucking great game. Lighting and particle effects are glorious, the enemies communicating with one another adds personality and immersion... Fucking shotgun that when it doesn't gib an enemy into a mist of blood tears them in half... Fantastic.
Fear 2 is okay, 3 I never played nor do I intend to.
| Play the first game and pretend the rest never happened.
| BTW Extraction Point and Perseus Mandate are both awful. Avoid.
| 2 was fine, had some solid moments in it. 3 was a fun coop shooter but not a good horror game

| First is a masterpiece. I barely remember the second. Third is a fine coop game, wouldn't play something like it now cause I don't have a 2nd player anymore.
| Everyone says the first one is so great, especially because of the great AI. I played trough the whole game last year and while the AI is indeed very good, I didn't enjoy the game as much as I hoped. Every level feels the same, it's corridor after corridor and there isn't a lot of variations in enviroments. It tries to be a scary game too but I never feelt any horror and fear. I understand why people feel the AI is great but as a whole, the game didn't really click with me.
