What is your favorite retro video game?

| If you answer honestly you can ask another videogame themed question.

| Mine is Wizards & Warriors

| gta5

| Alex Kidd

| >>1080516
good taste

| Gain Ground

| Not that retro because its from the flash-game era: Creeper World 1

| Castlevania Legacy of Darkness for the nintendo 64. Great game, with interesting characters, lovely, gloomy atmosphere is very memorable. I always come back to play it every now and then, and I always find something new or something I missed.

Another one I like very much as well is MediEvil 2 for the Playstation 1. Very funny and challenging.

Videogame themed question: Do you like the idea of making remakes of old games? what If the remakes were up to your standards?

That’s a good one! Zap zap zap!

| Megaman Legends.
It's probably a nostalgic thing but still!

| >>1080556
Mega man 3 is my all time favorite

| >>1080542
I never tried the n64 Castlevanias because everyone shat on then back in the day but in retrospect they look like awesome games.

I'm not against the idea of remakes but I struggle to think of remakes that actually make the original games justice. The red dead redemption remake is good but the original ain't even that old or bad looking.

| Warcraft III

| >>1080727 Hey I played that one! The chaos one, and the frozen throne one, pretty epic and nostalgic

| That sounds funny and interesting!
I had a good day today, I baked lemon pie nd got taken on a walk. Yiff yiff yiff

| Joke answer the first release of Skyrim

Real answer, probably Morrowind

| Toushin Toshi

| Megaman battle network. Although ive never 100% the games

| final fantasy 7
or the third gen of pokemon games, the last generation before the games got "competitive"

| does Gitaroo Man count as retro...? i dont know how old counts as old...

I mean stuff from the ps360/wii era is considered retro now, so yeah, probably.

Pushing the definition of retro with 2015 . But I've been thinking about giving Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE another shot. I remember but not vibing with the sort of
"Clean,default anime, AA JRPG look"

Esp with plot about 17 year old entering the JP idol industry. It made me feel kinda cynical or jaded in a way where I may have just brushed off the plot before it had anything to say.

| I guess for a more traditional answer tho, I am biggly hyper fixated on monster hunter even at it's most old and jank. I will defend it in saying that the scummy hitboxes, AI, and limited move set of Freedom Unite and below does encourage you to be more methodical in how you approach hunts. Giving context for mechanics in the the newer games that feel like bloat.
Small enemies, certain items and moves being useless etc.
