So, my friend gave me a Japanese Dreamcast. It's really cool, but obviously I can only play Japanese games on it. So I've been looking into how to make it Region Free. As far as I can tell there's two options, boot disc, or a bios mod chip.
It feels like I'm over a decade late to doing this though. The boot discs people talk about don't seem to exist anymore, and you can't make one yourself because the links are all rotted.

So I'm like okay mod chip is the way to go. But there's like six different ones you can use, and some make it seem really simple like just replace and that's it. Others require to do some extra connections and alter some settings. And again this stuff is all a bit old by now. So I have no clue which one is the best one to choose in this current year.
It feels like my only option is to keep scouring old forums and dubious websites but like almost all the time the links don't work
