| I always boycot Nintendo. The Donkey Kong game costs 1/10th of the minimum wage here in Poland. They don't even have official distribution nor offer their games in our language. They used to make great games, but now everything is practically the same thing. You're really better off by playing whatever Nintendo fans have been cooking instead.

The only people who can boycott them are those who can afford to buy their games regularly... I have no idea what people like them think of the pricing.

Modern life is rubbish. It's the same with food and other other items nowadays. If you raise the price by 20% but only lose 12% of your customers you're making a profit. In some business you can even get away with less employees because you have fewer customers to serve but you still receive the same income as before. These megacorps are too big and too few for any real competition to pick up any disgruntled customers so we're kinda stuck without choice.
| With that being said, you should still boycott because even small actions are 100% more effective than not taking action. Don't give them free PR, don't talk about them in a positive light, don't listen to what any of these companies are trying to tell you(it's PR). Become the equalient of Teflon and don't let anything stick, let their BS slide off of you and ignore it.

Do you think I should boy cot an oil company when I fill up my car? Idk which are worse/best. Googling it. Apparently the news is not good. Gas stations buy from all refiners and refiners buy from all countries/drillers. But I definitely won’t buy chicfila or trump brand products

imo nintendo diehards are mindless drones and will prop the company up forever since good video game > literally anything else a gaming coming does in the eyes of such consumers, just take comfort in the fact it'll be emulatable ASAP and wait to see how President Musk and Trump's tantrum tarriffs effect ninty's bottom line

I agree; the games are good, especially their FromSoftware exclusive, but $90 a game is a bit much. As far as I'm aware, the Switch 2 is just Switch 1, but with some extra features for double the price. Runs the same software but modified & even uses the same cartridges.

| Only just girlcott AAA games, it's all pretty shit nowadays compared to the in betweens. Only publishers I trust anymore are newblood and devolver, and past them, I'll sneak a glance at new fromsoft releases, but I find the smaller studios just genuinely produce way better games than some of the AAA slop.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a perfect example of this. If you just give indie studios a decent budget and some time it results in games that are 10x better in every aspect than AAA slop while still having the fancy visuals and tech and shit that's mainly associated with AAA
Not that "high quality" graphics will ever beat great art direction, but if even just a fraction of a AAA budget was given to indie studios you'll have both
