I use a ps4 controller i got from a friend (it needed a new charging port) i put button masher stickers on it so that it also has xbox/pc symbols. But if i were to buy a new controller i would get an 8bitdo with hall effect sticks.

>>1052667 oh nice. i remember the ps4 controller being pretty soft feeling and comfy. there's just something unique about the shape of the dualshocks. so did you end up fixing the charging port?

>>1052675 yea you can buy those pcbs with usb connectors for those ps4 controllers on ali. so it was a cheap fix.

>>1052762 it's alright. works flawlessy out of the box on linux. i got nothing to complain about except the shape could be slightly more comfy but it's not a big deal. the sides are too straight so you cant hold it the same as an xbox controller unless your wrists are made of bendable gummi.

>>1052785 ah a controller round up i watched also mentioned the shape. the guy didn't like how holding it forced him to bring in his elbows which he found less comfortable than other controllers

Logitech F310 since 2011 I think. I don't have any reason to replace it. Go for F710 if you need wireless.

8bitdo SN30 pro plus, I mainly need a controller that can work with the Switch and PC.
Pretty good for its price, the gyroscope is good enough to play Splatoon with. Also it fell to the floor a few times and it still works fine.
Also got an 8bitdo lite 2, which is adorable. It's not as responsive as I would like (i.e. can't play fighting games with it), but I can put it in my pocket so I'm not complaining.

>>1052834 sounds really reliable. >>1052852 wow the lite 2 really is adorable. i kinda want one now, but i also see they have even tinier controllers on their website now.

>>1052853 Yeah there's the Micro and the Zero, which are crazy small. They don't have analog control though, so I figured the Lite 2 will get more use out of me.

>>1052857 yeah the lite 2 definitely seems the most practical of the lot. though for emulating retro games the micro and zero might be comfy
