| Haven't watched the video but is it about the Brandoville abuse? Yeah, it was pretty big news but only among the local gamedev circles. What are we expecting? Labour law is a myth here. The government doesn't give a rat's ass about our fledgling game industry unless they can take credit for what we did.
| But, I've only worked in two game studios and only heard from a handful so this is just anecdotal, game studios here are honestly much better than other industries. Like, we actually have minimal sexism and seniority-based abuse and there's a general sense of respect between everyone crazy enough to stick in gamedev.
If you hear what happens regularly in, say, med school? Brandoville abuses won't even sound that bad.

ik there is/was at least one other person here from Indonesia other than 50 chan on this site. Seems crazy but expected that this wouldn't get any news coverage outside of SEA.
