| what guys would u recommend for a first timer? and what’re yall’s guys’ is favorite and why?

| For a time people were recommending 4/4a as a starting point for it. Streamlining demon fusion and dungeons being closer to actual environments that new players are used to vs abstract dungeon crawler mazes.(aside from the overworld)
Idk about five, but assuming it's borrows those parts of the gameplay from 4. It's likely the most accessible one outside of emulation.

apparently smt 2 is also a good starting point.

yeah i usually hear smt 4 or 3 as good starting points

| I cant say only started with smt vv

| If you got a DS/3DS (or an emulator), I suggest checking Strange Journey out. It's a really smooth dungeon crawler, I like it the most out of the mainline games.

I don't think there's a "good" starting point, each has their own weird quirks, like, IV's balancing kinda whack, V's story is so wooden, it's annoying (haven't tried VV).

My actual favorite is Devil Survivor though, a spin-off. Great story, fantastic hybrid of tactic and turn-based system.

VV improves upon a lot from what ive heard

| SMT4A if you don't care as much about jumping into a story that has already started.
SMT4 is also a good starting point.
SMT5 will give you a good grasp of the battle system and demon fusion but it's not like any other of the games in every other aspect.

| dont. just play breath of fire.

| or dragon quest. or final fantasy. might and magic. in that order.
