kotatsu

| are they really as cozy as jill makes them out to be? if so where can i get one

| May be, idk

| make one

| Yes, they're super SUPER~ cozy. I used to have one I made myself out of an IKEA table, a blanket and a boat heater. It worked wonderfully for years until the heater broke.

| They are if you don't mind sitting on the floor under it

| >>993639 That sounds like a good idea actually i might try that

I recommend looking into it if you want a cheaper substitute for a kotatsu BUT it's VERY IMPORTANT to research the boat heater AND THE EXTENTION CORD correctly. Since you're gonna be having your legs and knees under there you don't want a dangerous heater that might BURN or ELECTROCUTE you or your home.

The reason why I never replaced my heater was because I couldn't find one that I deemed safe enough on my budget and the model I used had been discontinued.

| You can also skip the heater and make a traditional kotatsu with just the table and the blanket. The IKEA LACK tables are great because they only cost like $40 and they come with a shelf you can put on top of the blanket instead of its original place.

There are other affordable IKEA tables like Hemnes and Havsta but I don't know how stable they are without the bottom shelf.
