coffee shop addict
| I genuinely get this. I do the same thing. I look for coffee shops in the area and just check them all out.
Have you tried going to libraries or bookshops? I personally find them comforting.
| I find bookstores comfy as well, but around here most of them don't have places to sit and read or this kind of thing. There are also not so many libraries in my city, but I enjoy going to my college's library when I have time

Yeah, I get that. Maybe you could look for some independent bookstores? They might not have places to sit down and read, but they usually have a friendly, comfy atmosphere, since they're much smaller in scale than chain bookstores and such.
Sucks that you don't have many libraries. I don't really know where else to go if not a coffeeshop.

This thread reminds me that I haven't been to the library in a while so I think I'll go there soon. Our local library is pretty good and the Sci fi section got its own space on the second floor right by some exceptionally comfy couches. It's the best.

Depends on the bookshop. Over here, most bookshops are fine with people reading books before buying. Sometimes they even encourage it.

| i'm kinda addicted to going to different coffee shops almost weekend, how do i stop this? it's the only way for me to get comfy in a big city but it's getting kinda expensive....
