I'm getting a cat for the first time, do I get wet or dry food?

how old is the baby? if its a tiny baby dry food can be dangerous so maybe do wet food. if its a bigger baby dry food should be ok but i think babies generally like wet food better anyway, so maybe you can do it as a treat. personally i leave dry food for my babies whenever they want it but give them wet food twice a day. it depends on your baby though, dont do this of your baby is a fatass
also maybe talk to whoever youre getting the baby from, what kind of food they put in it

wet food is always better. cats are supposed to get most of their moisture through their food, and dry food neccessitates more drinking pure water-this flushes their kidneys, and is why kidney problems are so "common" in pet cats
wet food is more expensive but basically you want something that has a main ingredient of either actual poultry/meat or fish, and generally a meat broth as a liquid is better than straight "water (aqua)". however, the good stuff is ALWAYS more expensive

dry good is t bad! you arent a bad ow er for buying it. but wet food is simply better and if you can afford it i recommend getting that for regular meals, even if only a can a day
