im heartened by the fact that o have been in dire situations and my body just reacted and handled shit but i can totally imagine a situation like being at gunpoint or seeing a truck bearing down on me and just locking the fuck up
im a more assertive/extroverted person though so thats to be expected

Not OP but the one time I had sleep paralysis I was just so ready to throw hands and could not move. Really struggled to do so too. When I was able to be awake and actually move what I thought was some asshole invading my room was just a shadow of a lamp.
