I just finished reading American Psycho, really good book and incredibly different from the movie. Thinking about rereading my favourite book No Longer Human by Osamu Dazai, amazing book.

Just finished Creatures of Light and Dark by Roger Zelazny. Really odd take on Egyptian mythology, but entertaining all the same.

>>969887 Looks interesting. Adding it to my list.
Currently re-reading House of Leaves because of that DOOM wad and some PKD novels that's been standing untouched in my bookcase since forever.

>>969896 If you do read it, be prepared for some really trippy descriptions. There are several points where it's very much like Zelazny is trying to describe things so fantastic as to be almost beyond imagining.

I got a bad case of Potter-nostalgia so I started reading The Philosopher Stone recently. I'm about to finish it, and I think I'll read the next books again too.
I also have been reading The Fundation series of Asimov, it's amazing.

>>969910 Now I'm really looking forward to reading it! I'll bump it up on my list and buy it the next time I order books.

Didn't you saw Sayori? She was hanging around
Post number #970015, ID: 3ce635

>>969998 she's always trying to tie us up in some shenanigan or another, it can really drag your enthusiasm down and leave you up in the air without a leg to stand on when she surprises you with one. In blame Mr. Cow, personally. Luckily, we have the Just Monika as our club president!

also, re-reading The Last Unicorn and Stories from Lake Woebegon, because I'm in a nostalgic mood

>>970023 Treated like what? It's not like Yuri is a cut above the rest, and Natsuki is always starving for attention. All three are creative and poetic, and have their own positive and negative traits. And while all the girls are oki doki, it's really Just Monika that has the most stable connection to (y)our reality.

>>970077 I was wondering if this thread had gotten rediculously derailed, and then I looked at the title and wondered if this was intentional the whole time.
Anyway I just read Wild by Cheryl Strayed which is a memoir about the author hiking the PCT in an attempt to unfuck her life, pretty good even if I can only relate to the author's pain and not her choices.
I also read Earthlings by Sayaka Murata recently. A fucked story about feeling constrained by society. I recommend

>>970255 that's an interesting start for the LOTR books but good luck and enjoy your adventure! "All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost."

>>970251 honestly, I didn't get anything out of it. I like and miss all the characters involved, but that short story didn't really provide anything interesting for me about them. Just kinda showed them to me again with new words for a little while.
Plus I was a little annoyed with the gimmic of it being from Fore's perspective. It felt pretentious.

Vampire hunter d omnibus. Its a surprisingly rich world and its a shame people only know the oavs

>>970434 Based. I've read most of the books available in english at this point and it's really a lot of fun. I kind of want to go back through and try to make a map of the world and a pseudo-bestiary just to get a better idea of the way the world works.
