I live with my family because I'm a senior and I've been on self improvement and working out consistently and seeing good results.
However a big problems I have is that my family loves buying cakes and sweets and snacks and I have a hard time resisting and I sometimes end up cracking and having a slice of cake or a brownie.
What's the tip to resist this and not eating those unhealthy things?

people will tell you to build willpower. that takes months if not years. you have to deal with the cakes now, and the easiest solution is to make it that you are repulsed by food outside of your regularly scheduled meal times. to that end, your regular meals should become really spicy. this'll tell your stomach to shut the fuck up and signal to your brain that no, you really should not have anything more to eat right now. job done

of course, build willpower while you're using the capsaicin crutch, unless you want to permanently put yourself on a mexican diet

finding new fixations amd building habits in other veins helps a lot. willpower isnt something you just charge up like a dbz hero, its something that becomes stronger with practice.
for me, oddly enough, it's cooking & cleaning. when im in the midst of bustling around the kitchen i have no thoughts of booze or debauchery. obv since you want to avoid foodstuffs this isnt an analagous solution, but maybe gardening, gaming, reading, or something else can help? rooting for you gurl <3
