I am thinking about getting three really small symbols as reminders of ideas I want to carry, but I am not sure if I would regret.

Not for me I personally think bare skin is so beautiful I wouldn't cover it permanently like that but I think I'm kinda alone in that reasoning

Not a fan of tattoos. I've heard some people draw their tattoos on themselves first, and keep redrawing it for a year, and if they like it enough, they'll get it. There's also "semi-permanent" tattoos that last like a few months to a year, so that's an option.

And that can kind of give you a trial run to decide if it's something you want to spend a few hundred dollars on, and if it's something you want on your body until you die.

There is an old saying "If on her skin she has a doodle, never, ever, let her touch your noodle".
Tattoes are negatively correlated with IQ, look ugly, and can affect your hiring chances.
Though I admit I wanted to make a Berserk mark on my neck or something.

So, yeah, just be prepared that entitled pricks like me would be more cautious around you. Is that a bad trade? I have no idea.

heard a few stories from friends about getting tattoos and regretting it after a few days

Doing anything permanent usually results in at least small pangs of regret? What ifs are a huge part of our psychology. Move, what if you stayed? Get a degree, what if you'd gotten a different one?
Make it something small and/or easy to cover up and it probably won't negatively affect your life, so long as you are able to deal with a permanent choice. Your right that thinking about it for a long time is good tho.

Personally, never. It's a gonna be a permament mark and you'll change your personality with it as the time goes. In a sort of reversed way, think about it as if you were going to lose a simple finger. You'll permanently view the world differently* and people will permamently judge you differently. There is no give away to think about how many times you'll end up thinking back and wondering how it'd have been if you still had your hands with a matching pair of fingers.

*as said it's not gonna be instantly but you'll start getting affected passively by its presence.
What stands to gatekeep of my highest view is that there is no such thing as a pure maiden with tattooes. And I won't let exceptions pass. So you're just going down for me. It doesn't matter if it's "trendy", it looks bad and wild. Tribal era has been past humans for too long and a good a belief is kept carefully in your heart to remember not show off for your pride.

>>958897 this is some self inflicting corruption they're letting leak in. It's better to decide with relaxed mind than being insecure and leave always the door half closed. Sounds like a gotcha game where you'll starting pilling up regret feeling for already spending too much time into the game and then ask yourself what's wrong with spending few bucks at this point? And being chained by "sob sob I can give up the whole thing now! I have to get some fun with all my progress done!"

This said, tattoo are only good if you're someone with a strong spirit and want to have your current personality or a wished on imbued permanently all over yourself. Like saying I'M LIKE THIS AND I LIKE IT, AAAAAAAAAAAAAH.

Counter effect. Don't be overly intense with it, and remember that having the tattoo doesn't make you better to those who do not. It should just aesthetic to keep on a neutral zone. I don't have mercy for those who try to overwhelm people just because they go out of their way to show that having a tattol means their words on a topic related to the tattooes are stronger because they HAVE "even" a tattoo to show it.

In conclusion this world is and will forever keep being nothkng but a dystopia, so it doesn't matter if you do or not. Life does on even if you have one leg, one lung, three eyed and a cancer on a breast. Just don't base the whole yourself on those tattoes since you're person and a person can be a very complex thing with many things to life for.

Like I said earlier, they make semi-permanent ones that last a year or so if you want the symbolic nature of a tattoo, but don't want to commit to it until you die. :D

>>958869 That's a good idea - if you aren't into after some time, it wasn't meant to be Personally, I think the aesthetics of tattoos are pretty bad most of the time, as people just consider what they would like for an image, but not how that image will look on them, or how it will look later down the road.
