It's impossible. Normal people don't need to go out of their way to "learn" how to talk to people. If you are over the age of 20 and completely unable to socialize just forget about it.

Just play games with them. Video games, board games, tabletop roleplaying, whatever. It's a shared topic to talk about, and good distraction if talking gets awkward.

OP here, I have a friend grown up in an abusive household and that part of her life dragged her back to advance, I was in a similar situation, but I have no clue on how to bring this up to her in a lighter way.
