this is really interesting to consider tbh
it has to do with how time is perceived. like simply by existing we are travelling through space at a certain rate, which we standardise with time based on the rotations of the earth. but if we sprint around we can "slow down" time and get more done. this is why working hard can make time zip by, while being bored can make ten minutes feel like an hour

i never realised Marx had touched on this but it just reinforces that he really knew what he was talking about and looked at every aspect of economy, far beyond what even baby Marxists cute (usually only the law of value etc)
