What's the best exercise for stiff shoulders and neck?

| Completely serious here, my neck and shoulders are so stiff, almost uhhh cramped(?) even, sometimes I get headaches just from that.
Although to be fair I'm stiff all over since I barely exercise and lead a largely sedentary lifestyle, so some tips for more flexibility in general would also be very welcome. But I want to focus on that area first and foremost.


| Just sitting around all day should not be an immediate cause for stiff shoulders and neck, if you pardon me saying so. First investigate the cause of *why* you get all stiff. This area typically tenses up when you're anxious or nervous, or it could be a simple matter of ergonomics (you bend your head down to see f.ex. your laptop screen, and likewise your shoulders are positioned unnaturally).


| Resolving issues of this nature should already provide some relief.
To answer your question more immediately, things like shoulder rolls and cross arm stretches will do the job for you.

I would first need to have either some reach or some flexibility to be able to perform sex. Unfortunately, I haven't been blessed with the former, so I really should work on the latter which is why I created this thread in the first place.

It's all but immediate. Yeah, I'm kinda hunched over a lot, with the shoulders rolled forward and neck tilted forward too, it's honestly pretty much automatic at this point.
