People really do be sensitive

| A lot of people love talking shit, but fall apart as soon as you say anything back.
What's up with that? Like, I think I get it. Probably just them trying to mask insecurities and stuff. But that can't be the case for everyone, can it?

And, like, I'm not tryna put myself above anyone. I was kinda like that when I was younger. But I grew up. I'm an adult now, but some people my age are still acting like that. Is that normal? Is it just here? Have you g/u/rls encountered this?

| More like insecure, tbh. So basically what you're saying.
They fall apart because the shit they dish out resonates with them – they put people down to feel better about themselves.
And keep in mind this is the internet, lots of folks don't grow up or even worse regress to an earlier stage of psychological development. Just... walk away, don't waste your energy.

I mean, I figured that usually had to be the reason. But it happens so often that it's almost hard to believe it's everyone who's like that.
And I wasn't really talking specifically on the internet. Like, obviously it happens online a lot too, but I was mainly thinking just irl. I talk to a lot of different people, and I see it surprisingly often. As soon as shit gets thrown back or someone tries to break down why they said it, they just disintegrate.

| I'll go a bit further with wasting energy, because that's an important one I've been forced to learn...

Immature people, or NEETs of any kind, or people with unmanaged mental illnesses, an adult will only approach those people with an ulterior motive or for self-destructive reasons.
They have nothing to offer to someone who can hold down a job and has a modestly acceptable circle of friends.

Your network is, unironically, your net worth. Don't sabotage yourself.

I mean, I don't engage with that. I just say a single sentence, watch them collapse and walk away if they're just gonna be like that.
I feel bad though. They're so, like, fragile. And it seems like they don't even know it themselves.
